What Is the Timeline of this Project?

Phase I of the WOW Trail is just over 1 mile and runs along the rail corridor from the Public Library in Downtown Laconia to Lakeport Square. The detailed design work for Phase I is underway this Spring, 2007 and we expect construction to be begin Fall 2007.

Phase II planning and fundraising is underway. This part of the trail is runs from the Laconia Public Library to the Belmont Town Line.

Phase III & IV will extend the trail from Lakeport to the Weirs and Meredith.

Where Does My Donation Go?

All funds donated are earmarked for expenses associated with the detail design work and construction costs associated with Phase I and Phase 2.

As of Fall 2005, we have all of the funding for Phase 1!

We are now raising the funds for Phase 2 (public fundraising must raise $110,000 in order to receive the match money from NHDOT of $330,000).

How Can I Help?

Become a volunteer and/or sponsor. This project is very large and long term. We have established several different action committees to get all the work done including the following:
